Curriculum

Achieving high student performance through excellence in educational programs is the focus of the Orchard View Schools.  Orchard View Schools is committed to the belief that all students must be challenged to perform at higher academic levels and be expected to demonstrate mastery of core academic subjects.  We believe that setting clear academic standards, benchmarking these standards to the highest level and accurately assessing student performance is our major responsibility.

The Orchard View School’s Curriculum is based on the Michigan Curriculum Framework Standards and Benchmarks, the Michigan Grade Level Content Expectations (GLCEs) and the Michigan High School Content Expectations (HSCEs).  Information on these items can be found HERE.

Orchard View Schools Superintendent, Patricia Walstra shares an 11 minute video produced by Wayne Regional Educational Service Agency (RESA) about "Understanding the New Cut Scores for the MEAP and MME".
